Roll Cookies

This basic recipe is adapted from Joy Of Cooking

Cream:
1/2 cup white or brown sugar
1/2 cup butter

Beat in:
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Chill 3-4 hours before rolling. Roll and cut out shapes. Decorate with coarse sugars or ice after baking.
Bake 375˚, 7-12 minutes
