Glossy Chocolate Icing

Melt together over hot water
3 TLB. Shortening
3 squares(3 oz.) unsweetened Chocolate

Pour 5 TLB. Scalding hot milk over 2 cups sifted confectioner sugar mixed with ½ tsp. salt.

Stir to dissolve completely.

Add 1 tsp. vanilla and the chocolate mixture. Complete mixture will be very thin.

Beat while hot until thick enough to spread, it should be smooth and glossy.

Stir in ½ cup chopped nuts, if desired.
